Featuring over 750000 micromirrors, the high resolution DLP5500 (0.55" XGA) digital micromirror device (DMD) is a spatial light modulator (SLM) that modulates the amplitude, direction, and/or phase of incoming light. This advanced light control technology has numerous applications in the industrial, medical, and consumer markets. The DLP5500 enables fine resolution for 3D printing applications. The XGA resolution has the direct benefit of scanning large objects for 3D machine vision applications. Reliable function and operation of the DLP5500 requires that it be used in conjunction with the DLPC200 digital controller and the DLPA200 analog driver. This dedicated chipset provides a robust, high resolution XGA, and high speed system solution.
